Bobby George: Hello, Kunal! First of all, congratulations on your debut book. I had the pleasure of reading it, and I found it to be quite intriguing. Please share what inspired you to embark on this writing adventure?
Kunal: Thank you, Bobby! I’m delighted to be here. The inspiration for “HeartBreak Not Again…” stemmed from my fascination with exploring the complexities of love and relationships. I’ve always wondered whether love is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence or if it can happen multiple times in a person’s life. This curiosity became the driving force behind my writing journey.
Bobby George: Can you highlight memorable or significant moments from your publishing journey? Is there a particular milestone or achievement that stands out to you?
Kunal: One of the most memorable moments was holding the first printed copy of “HeartBreak Not Again…” in my hands. It was a surreal feeling, seeing my words come to life in the form of a book. Another significant milestone was when I received the first positive feedback from a reader who resonated deeply with the story. It reaffirmed my belief in the power of storytelling.
Bobby George: Have there been any authors or books that influenced your writing style or served as inspiration for you as a writer?
Kunal: Absolutely. Smt. Sudha Murthy ji’s novels have always resonated with me. Her ability to capture human emotions and relationships is truly commendable. Additionally, Mr. Ravinder Singh’s relatable storytelling style has been a source of inspiration. Their works have influenced me in shaping my own writing style.
Bobby George: Did you have specific traits or qualities in mind for your characters? What was your intention behind creating them in such a way?
Kunal: Each character in “HeartBreak Not Again…” was crafted with the intention of being relatable and multidimensional. I wanted them to mirror real people, with their strengths, flaws, and unique experiences. It was important to me that readers could connect with the characters on a personal level, allowing them to see a bit of themselves in the story.
Bobby George: Were there any characters in your book that you felt particularly drawn to? If so, who were they, and why?
Kunal: I must say, I felt particularly drawn to the protagonist. His journey mirrors the universal experience of navigating through love and relationships. His resilience and willingness to embrace love despite experiencing heartbreak were qualities that I found admirable and relatable.
Bobby George: Writing a book is undoubtedly a creative and immersive process. How do you unwind and take a break from writing to recharge your creative energy?
Kunal: Taking breaks is crucial for recharging creativity. I find solace in playing different sports and going on long drives. Additionally, reading diverse genres and engaging in thought-provoking conversations with friends and family helps rejuvenate my creative energy.
Bobby George: Given your diverse professional background, were you always inclined towards writing, or did it develop over time?
Kunal: During my brief stint in the film industry, I came to appreciate the significance of effectively conveying a story. It was then that I pondered on the idea of translating this concept into a book, one that would be easily comprehensible and relatable.
Bobby George: As a debut author, do you have any pointers or recommendations for other aspiring authors preparing to debut?
Kunal: I would advise aspiring authors to trust their unique writing style and voice. Embrace authenticity in your storytelling, as it will resonate with readers on a deeper level. Additionally, perseverance is key. Writing a book is a journey that requires dedication and commitment. Keep honing your craft, and don’t be afraid to seek feedback and learn from it.
Bobby George: Did any particular books influence your storyline or themes in “Heartbreak . . . not again”?
Kunal: While “HeartBreak Not Again…” is a unique narrative, I drew inspiration from various romance fiction novels that explore the complexities of love and relationships. The idea of whether love is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence or if it can happen multiple times was a central theme influenced by the broader romance fiction genre.
Bobby George: Now that your first book is published, what are your future writing goals? Do you have any ongoing projects or ideas for your next book?
Kunal: This is just the beginning of my writing journey. I’m committed to delivering more enthralling and engaging stories to my readers. While I can’t reveal specific details about my upcoming project just yet, I assure you that it will be another thought-provoking and captivating tale of love and human relationships.
