Author Philip John
I am Philip John, PhD biotechnology research scholar. I am known among my peers as “Lone wolf, Sigma male” but always have a aptitude for new learnings and solving complex problems with holistic approach, introspection and mutual discussion. In spite of my scientific research works , I strongly believe that humans must return back to mother Nature for the well being of the civilization and strongly support that Science and Faith never cuts each other but has same origin.
Interview
The Asian Literature: Welcome to The Asian Literature, author. Congratulations on the release of your book. What responses are you getting from your readers? Please share your experience with this book.
Author: Thank you so much for your wishes. I am humbled. My foremost critics are my Professors and teachers so they are the first who read my books. Till now, no issues have surfaced from their side, rather their certificates and comments were more commendable and more positive. Even some of them have approached me to write books even on their behalf or in their field of their interest or as Co –Author. This gave me immense pleasure and confidence that they recommend me for their work and as a helping hand and I am happy to assist them in full assurance and to work with their fellowship. This is my academic book and I tried my maximum to be honest with the book so far therefore I was careful in the transcript and gave acknowledgement and attribution wherever it was necessary to keep up the academic transparency which will surely increase the trust and quality from the people. The foresight and hindsight while creating this book gave me a mature perspective and outlook on Science and Faith.
The Asian Literature: What encourages you to become an Author?
Author: Good question. well, we live in a world of competitive technological race. The more aggressive the technology will be, more fakeness and falsehood will rise (both go in tandem together and in complementary and corresponding rhythm to each other). This generation, mainly the generation alpha and millennial generation is certainly deprived of genuine things of truth and heavily dependent on facades and mere cheap quality social media products who have no control even on its own role in the society. Even though this generation is quantity obsessed rather than quality. Those ramifications are catastrophic in nature since they themselves cannot judge what is good and healthy for them which ultimately pave their way to MALADAPTATIONS in the choices of their lives. Writing is a gift and risky work. It’s an authentic information the author shares with the people with evidences (presumed, unpresumed or confronted) and on which everyone believes without any doubt unlike social medias and its malignant products. No author will risk his/her life by misguiding people. Every author s motive is to seed the naive minds of readers and to help them how to think constructively and Literary writings and materials (every literary field is unique) are the only solo source which can succeed in the long run.
I will make you understand by taking examples of our daily life. For example, every household have their Holy Books on their selected shelves but some people in spite of that keep a digital transcript of their Holy scriptures in the tabs and mobiles. Now, be honest with yourself. At the end of the day, when you and I spend some time with God. When, actually we feel close to God.” While reading and touching the Holy scripture or while scrolling the digital counterpart on the Tab. What first thing comes in your mind is your answer (Come on, Don’t hide it, both are not same).
Reading indeed has beneficial effects on brain. “The nation that reads, leads”. If the present generation reads, they will definitely reap the fruits in future.
Another examples I give you. Imagine a scenario in which,
- Rather than lecturing your children whole day, give them some books to read….
- India, our rich heritage, our contribution to the world, Indus valley civilization, ancient history to modern Polity and civil governance. Do the present generation even have any idea about this?
- Why reading habit is considered as a Post retirement option and choices of terminally ill patients only. why such stupid limitations………………
- How many corporates and companies keep a book room full of management, marketing and business studies for their employees.
- How many research institutes have their own departmental libraries?
- Why don’t we encourage books in prison reforms, mental asylums, rehabilitation centers and hospital sanctuary’s?
- Why don’t we encourage book readings among the children with special needs?
In this world of fast food, pandemic diseases, immature deaths. I never heard of any author committing suicide……?????
We have to understand that we all come up here with a limited time on earth. Don’t waste on scrolling things which only leaves you deteriorating your brain cells.
Thus my conclusion is my USP “Take from Life what is pure. For living what is sufficient” (Ghayat al Hakim)and writing is my hobby too. I hope my answer satisfy you.
The Asian Literature: What are your favorite topics of writing? Please tell us something about your interest areas in the literature.
Author: Well, I am interested in writing on all those subjects which can directly influence on the welfare of the society and mankind. But when asked specifically, I would say Geopolitics, International diplomacy and relations, Medical science, Economics, Apologetics & Polemics, History, Classical Art & Culture, Anthropology, Defense studies are my favorite Cups of Tea.
The Asian Literature: We were hoping you could tell us about some of those writers who had inspired you and whom you follow!
Author: I always like to read Women writers because of the strong message cum emotions and truths radiating in their heartfelt writings. I confess honestly that women’s do speak lies but they never write lies. Apart from them, I also like to read and follow writings of Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, Ramdhari singh Dinker, Rabindranath Tagore, Alfred Tennyson, William Blake, Thomas Hardy, Leo Tolstoy, Yuval Noah Harari and many other distinguish authors, it all depends upon what message they convey and appeal to me. In Indian literature, I love north Indian and Bengali literature. In modern writings I even like to read works of certain politicians like Pandit Nehru, Dr. S. Jayashankar (MEA), Former PM Vajpayee ji and present PM Modi ji. We can understand from their writings “why they do what they do.”
The Asian Literature: The titles seem different and catchy; how you decided it? Please let us know the story behind it.
Author: Thank you for the question, you see, the present age is the age of two scientific revolutions, Artificial intelligence and Nanotechnology, believe it or not, but it’s true. Use and Misuse is in our hand. For instance, when AI is misused, technology like “Deepfake AI tools” comes into existence. Similarly, in nanotechnology case, we often do scientific experiments, gather knowledge only to publish papers but we never discuss the aftermaths or repercussions of scientific experiments which perhaps may go against our Mother Nature. The whole scientific community deliberately keep a lip tight silence on certain topics. They considered it as taboo or “Elephant in the room” nobody wants to talk about. In certain developed countries, in the Research & Development activities related to nanotechnology, mere 5% of the total research budget is dedicated to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), and then 95% of the budget is dedicated to non-EHS (Environment, health, safety) research. This imbalance translates to actual research, development, testing, and evaluation imbalances, i.e., there are far more research publications and grants concerning fundamental nanotechnology R & D than concerning toxicology, exposure assessment, morbidity, and mortality. So, the rapid growth of the nanotechnology and nanomaterial field has been influenced by the huge promises of technological and financial gain. Although the promises are numerous, the risks and problems associated with the wide-scale production and use of nanomaterials have not been fully explored or documented. The largest risks from nanomaterial exposure result from the unique and unpredictable characteristics of materials at the nanoscale which may prove hazards to mankind in future. That’s why for the sake of readers, Nanotoxicity portion is added in order to create awareness in public because of the fact that the nanoparticles get bioaccumulated and biomagnified especially in the food chain. The present generation is busy preparing death beds for the future generation because there is an inadequate knowledge about the waste management of certain nanoparticles. There is a valid reason to state the subtitle as “A Broad spectrum approach” because of the inclusion of certain data’s that might be rigid but static and authentic (evidence based) therefore remain unchanged universally even in the upcoming course of time. They tell us the basic infrastructure of the nanoparticle functionality. I hope my answer satisfy everyone.
The Asian Literature: What are your achievements so far? Tell us something about your writing career.
Author: I am a nascent, newcomer and greenhorn in this field, I started with Scientific academic writings in 2021. My writing journey started during COVID time when all institutions were shut down leaving the public in deep psychological distress. I too was not untouched by such phenomenon. Being a research scholar, I utilized my time in reading good books, documentaries and research articles. I had my large ream of research papers in front of me and honestly I tell you they were looking at me with rolling eyes and questioning me about their existence, only to be burned at last as a trash. They gave me an impetus to repeat my learnings and shape my understanding into a book with special reference to Covid pandemic, human anatomy and disease pathology in relation with nanoscience. So I can say “In my solitude, ideas were born.” and I never looked back after that and now I am giving you interview.
The Asian Literature: What is your current goal in writing a career? How do you see your future in writing?
Author: I think I made a good choice as a part time writer. It gives me contentment and satisfaction in myself when I make hard things easy for the people using creativity. It is said “An Author never dies”. Even if he/she leaves for another world, their books circulates in this world. They really help people of all ages. For me writing is an emotional bondage too especially while writing their respective dedication. I dedicated my two books to my two friends who have special role in my life. So think in this way, wherever in the globe where my books will be read, whenever readers will open the book, they will first see the dedication and attribution given to your loved ones. Thus their name will simultaneously circulate wherever they are read, making their names immortal even after your death. Isn’t it a noble thing to do. They are with you always. Therefore, many moral and spiritual codes are also associated with it. In nearby future, I see myself writing books on many diverse subjects.
Writing is not only a hobby but it’s a well calculated Project for me. From external & interior designing to writing format to publishing to marketing, I always plan and design from my mind. While writing my matters, I always keep few things in my mind. Firstly, are my matters effective in the long run. Secondly, what message my matters are revealing to the audiences. Thirdly, are my matters allowing the readers to think or not, meaning their thought process is developing or not. I calculate the answers by becoming a sitting audience myself in front of my work. I always make a goal while writing that “Readers can either love me or hate me, but they cannot deny my work”.
The Asian Literature: Are there any other books being worked by you? Please let us know about your future projects.
Author: I have already finished two books on Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology, now one of my Prof. caught me and gave me the responsibility of writing my third book based on medical microbiology and also I am looking for writing a book on Middle east oriental studies or Geopolitics. Well you can expect in nearby future but I cannot give the fixed citizen charter but It may start at any time.
The Asian Literature: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?
Author: Absolutely, writing too has changed just like media news channels. Just understand in this manner. About 30 decades before, we had one DD news channel with extremely talented news readers who were of dedicated characters and modesty in their field. Even now after decades we remember them and their slight memory bring a pleasant smile on our face. Now you see at present, you have showers of news channels behaving as cartoon channels, a fertile platform for mutual fighting’s in the name of scripted debates. Clearly, it shows no quality but quantity and only yellow journalism & prestitute media is served as a main course. Similarly, is the fate of modern writings. I want to say to all modern new writers, Dear writers, public may not believe bogus news and social media but people will believe in books. Therefore, please put quality first as your priority, rest everything will come along with it. You don’t need TRPs. All the best………………
The Asian Literature: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors? Author: Good question, my advice to all budding writers is totally based upon my experience with different publishing companies. See, one must always keep in mind that different publishers have their own style of working and business. No two companies will have same style, of course the final result will be good only. Therefore, there is a need of good rapport between the client and publishers because there is a background differences between the clients and their project managers. At times, there may come bumps in the road during publishing journey. But if there is a mutual respect, patience, soft spokeness and cordial fellowship between the client and publishers, work become easy and a learning experience. It’s not wise to change publishing companies periodically but it would be good if you make life time relationship to which ever publisher you like. It’s an acquired learning experience.
