Neel Preet: Firstly, congratulations on your book, The Last Breath: The Journey Begins” Well, can you please share your experience about making your work come into the form of a book?

Hridyansh Sharma: Thank You! It was a great experience learning how I got inspired to write my imagination till a full-fledged book getting published worldwide. My work completion would not be possible without help from Evincepub. They helped me in getting my book edited, cover designs etc. I learned a lot about professional writing. Along with taking care of various nuances of the language, I learned how to be an effective narrator. Overall, I had a satisfying experience. I am motivated to write the next part of the series. I wish I could inspire other kids to write their own stories.

Neel Preet: What inspired you to write this book? What was the impetus behind this work of yours?

Hridyansh Sharma: I have had the interest to read books since childhood. I was always curious about what was next in a story. Off-late, I started to read fast-paced, action-packed, thriller novels. About 8-9 months back, I just had a thought about writing my book. I was always thinking about the story. And ideas just flew to me. To a certain extent, I was motivated by other writers and the remaining push came from my inner wish to write something on my own. I recall my father used to narrate bedtime stories in my childhood. My parents were always supportive and inspired me to go the way of my choice. They were always helpful during this journey.

Neel Preet: Your book title, ‘The Last Breath – The Journey Begins’ is catchy! Therefore, can you please explain the reasons for going with this book title?

Hridyansh Sharma: I think book titles must be catchy. It’s a few words that make an impression on the viewer’s mind. It should hook the reader. The title must reveal and conceal something about the book. I thought that the title ‘ The Last Breath – The Journey Begins’ as the first instalment of the book will certainly create a buzz. The name is very much relevant to the context of the book. Whoever reads the book could surely relate to the title. Along with the title, prologue and back cover text reveal the theme of the book. Those are also carefully written to best suit the story.

Neel Preet: Well, can you please explain how is this book different from the other books of the same genres?

Hridyansh Sharma: First of all, this book has a new world, there may be some elements taken from the real world but it is a whole new universe. Second, the story develops alongside action scenes which is very uncommon to find. Third, the book’s plot twist is completely different from what you may find in ANY novel. Now, I can’t reveal it or the whole motive of the plot twist would uncover. Unlike other novels, you will find new words not taken from the dictionary in this book. Names of places, characters, maps etc are chosen to be catchy.

Neel Preet: Next, I want you to explain to us, in your version, how this book will appeal to the readers of the present day!

Hridyansh Sharma: Most teens and teenagers like action-packed novels. This is such a book. Moreover, it has some life lessons which you can easily relate to your day-to-day activities. These life lessons are very much relevant in present times. They can be imbibed by readers in their own lives. The story has suspense, a thriller that engages readers to read the book without pauses. Interesting plots revealed through narration enables readers to picture them while reading. I am sure readers will find it worthwhile reading the book.

Neel Preet: Well, can you please tell us about some of those writers, who inspired you?

Hridyansh Sharma: Few names that I appreciate, admire and consider as inspiration are: J.R.R Tolkien, Victoria Aveyard and Leigh Bardugo.

Neel Preet: Is there any message that you would like to convey to your readers? Or any piece of advice, which you would like to give to the readers out there!

Hridyansh Sharma: There are common messages in the novel which I would convey here. We should not be greedy or else it would lead to bad consequences. We should not be overconfident i.e. not fly in the air. We should know where our roots lie or else we would be uprooted in a storm. We should be calm and composed in a difficult situation.

Neel Preet: Are there any other books being worked on by you? Please let us know about your future projects.

Hridyansh Sharma: This book is the first one in the Trelemental Series. For now, I am not working on the upcoming book. I think this series will be a duology or maybe even a trilogy but you don’t know when and what ideas may flow. Although not immediately, I will certainly be writing as time allows.

Neel Preet: Thank you so much for answering all my questions. All the very best to you for the future and your book too!
